The owner has subsequently mentioned that he intends to keep this beauty as original as possible.
Telling by the pictures, I would say that he is keeping to his word.
The 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was part of the second generation of the Chevrolet Camaro which included the model years between 1970 and 1981.
Unlike the first generation which was rushed through development, the second generation Camaro was allowed a longer development period and it also had a greater budget allocated thanks to the first generation’s success.
Although it had an all-new look, the unibody structure was the same as that of its predecessor however, the second generation boasted improved comfort as well as performance thanks to improvements made to the chassis and the suspension.
Other improvements included improved braking, balance and steering. Unfortunately due to the new emission regulations and the fuel crisis, the Camaro just like other similar muscle cars of the era went through major styling and power train changes that almost killed the muscle car.
