We are the forth owners of this car. She was built by a pro builder in Eugene, Oregon. We bought it from a fellow in Shawnigan Lake, B.C., just outside of Victoria. We have done some restoration on her as well, since aquiring her.
Plan on enlarging the Gas Tank and a few other modifications to make her street legal.
Just replacing the tires on the trailer. Took the two tires off the front of the hotrod, put them on the trailer, and are awaiting a set of new tires to put back on the hotrod. Also putting some shelves in the trailer, and a small flat screen t.v. for relaxing evenings in any campsites we may choose to stay at during our travels. That’s about it for now.
My husband had just built a teardrop trailer for her and we had been down on the Coast visiting friends and relatives. (Vancouver…we live in the Okanagan region of B.C.). We had made it all the way back home, and had stopped at Tim Horton’s for coffee.
My husband was parking her, and had backed her up to straighten her out, and we heard a sickening ‘crunch’. He had backed the car up into the trailer hitch (too short apparently), and put a lovely dent in the driver’s rear fender. Poor guy! He was not impressed!… He had come down with a nasty cold and flu while on the Coast, and wasn’t feeling well at the time. The dent has since been fixed and we are back on the road.

View of the 29 Hudson Essex Coupe Rear. There is not much chrome visible on this beauty… especially on this Pic. However, this Hot Rod doesn’t need any chrome to look great. Click on the Pic to enlarge.
