  • 350 LT1 Engine.
  • 290 Horses.
  • 6-speed manual.

The car was initially from Nebraska. I assume it was owned by a State Patrol because I found his business card under the drivers seat.

I found the car through Autotrader online in Cedar Rapids, IA, after looking for the last 2 years for a T/A.

My friend and I drove to Cedar Rapids from Brookings, SD, where we go to college.

I bought it there and drove it home. My beauty has a 350 LT1 engine that puts out about 290 horses, engine is stock, 6-speed manual.

I have some more cosmetic surgery to do to it yet, but money is a little tight being in college and all, but I’ll get there.

Wow…I posted this like 10 years ago! Thanks for the question. I still have the T/A and have had some major electrical issues due to the past owners self -installed stereo system..grr. Anyway…yes, I do have it posted, but it puts out around 290hp. I’ve never had it professionally tested though. And the $3,300 for the elec. repair has prevented me from my cosmetic repairs…but oh well….it’s a marathon 🙂

      Engine Power?
      Hi Andrew:

According to the owner of the car, the LT1 engine of his Trans Am puts out 290 Horse Power.

You can read more about the car and the engine if you scroll up close to the top of the page.

The engine is mentioned just a couple of paragraphs before my comments.

By the way, the owner might see your post and also reply.

      Thanks for posting.

      Tony Alves
